His practice combines painting with a range of materials and techniques, drawing inspiration from Amazigh jewellery, pottery, textiles, architecture and everyday objects. Rather than reproducing traditional forms, Trabelsi transforms their shapes, textures and symbols into contemporary compositions. Through layers of colour and the integration of materials such as wood, metal and ceramic elements, his work explores how cultural memory can be preserved, transformed and carried into the present.
